Shawn Skabelund is working on his Eagle Project.
He is collecting school supplies for Holmes elementary school in Mesa. This
is a low income school. The supplies will be put into kits and will be
given to the students to take home for most do not have these supplies to
do homework. Also they draw the names for which student is to receive a kit.
items needed.
crayons either 8 count to 24 count
colored pencils
notebooks-spiral
notebook paper
glue sticks
pencils
erasers
scissors
pens
He has a goal of doing 100 plus kits. This week at Target they have erasers
and glue sticks for 20 cents colored pencils are also on sale 24 packs of
pencils 90 cents and scissors 90 cents. are some of the deals also I know at
walmart the crayons are 19 cents. Spiral notebooks 15 cents from frys.
There are really good deals hopefully everyone will see the blog ect . and
be able to get some of the good deals. Donations can be brought to church
next sunday there will be a basket or box in relief society room also a sign
up sheet for those that want the youth to pick up from their homes on
Tuesday August 16. We have until August 24th.
