Shawn Skabelund is collecting school supplies for Holmes elementary school in Mesa. This is a low income school. The supplies will be put into kits and will be given to the students to take home as most do not have these supplies to do homework. He has a goal of doing 100 plus kits. The sales are on this week. Please do what you can to help. There will be a basket or box in the RS room this Sunday. You can also sign up if you prefer to have the youth pick up items from your home on Tuesday, August 16th. Supplies will be collected until August 24th.

· Stake Preparedness “What’s for Dinner” this Friday (with your date) at the Happy Valley Bldg at 7 pm. Guest teacher is Nevada Harward of the make-a-Mix Cookbooks. You don’t want to miss this one!
· Release time seminary students at SDOHS need to register for their online class to make up credits. For eSchool, online orientation is available on Aug 22, access your class beginning Aug 29. There is no tuition fee for online classes taken during the school year. Visit eschool.dvusd.org. See your counselor for other options.
· Our RS activity for August will be on Saturday, Aug 27th (instead of Thursday night). “Wellness Day”, combined with North Canyon Ward will feature a Yoga class, nutrition info, mini-massage, lunch and more. Watch for a separate email with more info and a sign-up to bring a salad topping.
