A Big Thank You!

Dear Sister Kornegay and Deer Valley Stake Sisters,


I would like to give each of you a heart felt and personal thank you for your support of the Adobe Mountain Thanksgiving dessert effort. Your response to this service was absolutely over the top and so well received and appreciated by the staff and inmates of the Adobe Mountain prison. I stayed at the church from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and collected the donations brought by so many of you sisters. I might add it was pure torture to be in that small kitchen with so many freshly baked and prepared desserts. The aroma of these treats during this eight to nine hour time period tested my ability to avoid temptation of partaking of some of these wonderful items. I learned a lot about self-control. Ha Ha
When the staff arrived from Adobe Mountain to pick up these desserts at about 3:30PM, they were amazed at the amount of food and expressed their deepest appreciation. It took us all about an hour to load all the desserts into the two vehicles sent to pick them up and they were absolutely full! This service project demonstrates the goodness and willingness to give from the sisters of our stake. You are all a shining beacon of the spirit of love and kindness. May the Lord bless you all!
