Pumpkin Bread


Pumpkin Bread

1 cup water

1 1/2 cup vegetable oil

6 eggs1 can pumpkin (large)

5 cup sifted flour

3 3/4 cup sugar

1 Tbs. baking soda

1 Tbs. cinnamon

1 Tbs. nutmeg

3/4 tsp salt

2 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


Combine oil, eggs, water and pumpkin; stir. Sift in remaining ingredients. Grease and flour bread pans. Bake 350 F. for 1 hour. Makes 4 loaves.

  1. This was some of the most delicious pumpkin bread I've tasted! Carla brought it to the book review we had...mmmmm! yummy! She said someone brought it to a RS activity 20 years ago and she got the recipe then... a keeper! Thanks Carla.
